Machines

Types of Machines We Service

At Cylinders, Inc., our certified team members come with specialized knowledge and a wealth of experience in heavy machinery and excavator repairs. Our repairs include, but aren’t limited to:

The backhoe is a type of excavating equipment consisting of a standard tractor base that supports a digging bucket on the end of the jointed two-part arm. We can easily conduct excavator repairs on the cylinders of these machines.

Cultivators

A cultivator is a type of agricultural machinery used to till and cultivate the soil. They’re typically used during the growing season to rip up weeds in rows where plants are or will be growing.

Bulldozers

These hydraulic machines assist with pushing, digging, and excavating in mining, agriculture, and construction. They have large, heavy blades in the front to push material. Crawler, wheel, and mini bulldozers are among the most common types.

Excavators

Excavators are powerful machines extensively used in construction and excavation projects. Over time, the hydraulic cylinders in excavators can experience wear and tear, resulting in performance and efficiency issues. Cylinder repair can help in addressing these problems and restoring the excavator to its optimal working condition.

Loaders

We often repair loaders with hydraulic cylinder steering systems. These heavy equipment machines are used in construction to move or load materials such as rock, sand, soil, and demolitions with a fitted bucket that faces away from the operator.

Dump Trucks

Dump trucks have a base frame with a mounted bed. The dump body contains a hydraulic ram that raises the bed to dump material. These versatile vehicles are often used in construction to transport heavy material loads such as crushed rock.

Garbage truck hydraulic cylinders are designed to make the collection of municipal waste and its transport to a landfill, recycling center, or transfer station as easy as possible. Their speedy repair is essential for efficient waste management.

Snow Plows

A snowplow is an attachment that’s mounted on the front of a heavy-duty vehicle, truck, loader, or motor grade and used to push snow away from a winter storm. And our snow plow hydraulic cylinder repair experts can easily handle this type of machine.

Tow Trucks

These powerful machines revolutionize the manufacturing industry by shaping molten materials into precise, intricate products. With advanced technology and precision, they offer high production rates, cost-effectiveness, and versatility.

Cranes

We also repair hydraulic cylinders for construction equipment like cranes. They’re common along with construction sites, as their height and ability to move heavy loads is useful to build tall buildings like skyscrapers.

Forklifts

These motor-driven industrial trucks are used for lifting and moving goods on pallets within the premises of a warehouse, storage facilities, or distribution centers.

Ironworker Machines

The ironworker machine is a versatile tool utilized in the metalworking and fabrication industries. Over time, the hydraulic cylinders in ironworkers may experience wear and tear, leading to performance issues and decreased productivity. Cylinder repair can effectively resolve these issues by enhancing cutting, punching, and bending capabilities, reducing downtime, and improving overall efficiency.

FAQ

How much is it to repair an industrial hydraulic cylinder in Chicago, IL?

The final costs to repair an industrial cylinder depend on the type of repair and cylinder and whether parts need to be fabricated or ordered from suppliers. If you contact us with your requirements, we’d be more than happy to provide you with an estimated quote.

Do I have to bring my machine to your repair shop?

Of course, you’re welcome to bring your cylinder to our repair shop if you work nearby and circumstances permit, but it’s also perfectly fine to ship it to us.

We request your cylinder be removed from your machine before they arrive at our shop. You can drop your cylinder off, ship it to us, or we can arrange to pick it up. Once repairs are complete, your cylinder will be returned to you via any of the same three modes.

Does the size of my truck cylinders matter?

We can repair cylinders of any size and nature. If your cylinder falls outside standard sizes, our skilled team will fabricate the necessary parts to restore your cylinder to its original working condition.
